we are replaceing the engine on the tractor but i was wondering if it is possible to remove the mater cylinder (located at the left rear under the tank) we know that it controls the deck and the plow if needed but if we remove it will we experience any major leaks. also if there would be leaks how would we block the hoses from leaking thanksJohn deere 425 master cylinder?
are you talking about the remote hydraulic control valve if so it just has o-rings under it i use small plastic pipe pluges they just push in the holes and over the tubing that goes to the remote good luck i just bought another john deere a 5103 if i ever have problems i call grissoms john deere in muskogee oklahoma 918-682-3413 ask for david hes the service manager he will help you out
